Business Development Manager

ArchSmart LLC is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to help continue our growth initiatives. 

Position Summary:

The Business Development (BD) Manager will identify, qualify, pursue, and close new business opportunities and facilitate core business development activities within the company. The BD Manager will generate and implement strategies for continued corporate growth in our established core areas of expertise, identify new areas of expansion, and facilitate the sustainment of the existing contract base. The BD Manager will design and execute ArchSmart's BD strategy using cost-effective and innovative options for continued growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • New business pipeline development, identifying, qualifying, and moving new opportunities through the ArchSmart capture process
  • Supporting senior management in developing BD and marketing strategies
  • Leveraging pre-existing relationships across Federal Agencies and private contractors to position ArchSmart for new business opportunities
  • Identifying and exploiting business opportunities, including prospecting
  • Support recompete efforts for current contracts
  • Provide accurate, realistic forecasts of new business development programs to support ArchSmart recruiting and financial planning
  • Supporting and overseeing the development of marketing literature

Reports to:

Reports to the Director of Operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5 + years of experience in IT marketing and business development
  • Excellent presentation skills, ability to deliver compelling briefings to generate demand and discriminate ArchSmart solution offerings
  • Familiarity with the Federal procurement cycle
  • The ability to quickly assimilate and communicate the corporate value proposition, including discriminators
  • Knowledge of multiple Federal contract vehicles
  • Experience in pursuing unrestricted, set-aside, and task order programs within the Federal Government

Additional Qualifications/Skills Desired:

  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Negotiation skills
  • Initiative and a self-starter; must be able to operate independently and with minimal oversight
  • Experience with new program acquisition at Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
  • Experience in software start-ups

Salary is commensurate with experience
